About us
The EDImage Team consist of a group of Mauritian dedicated in the
promotion of Mauritius island as a holiday destination. Our objective,
through the creation of 'On the roads of Mauritius' CDrom
and any other similar CDs which will follow, is to familiarize Mauritius
to as many foreigners as possible, letting them have a foretaste
of a visit on the island, thus contributing in the development of
the tourism industry by creating potential visitors. Anyone who
have at heart the interest of the tourism industry of Mauritius
is most welcome to join our team.

On the Roads of Mauritius
What is "On the road of Mauritius"?
"On the road of Mauritius" is one of a series of CDrom forming
part of the EDImage project It is meant to be an multi-language,
interactive video CDrom creation from which user can satisfy his
(her) curiosity about Mauritius island through the exploration of
more than 1000 photos, video clips and text documents included.
Subjects are arranged into chapters easily accessible through drop
down menu bars. Text documentation loads automatically for corresponding
video. The program can be run directly from the CD or launch from
a hard disk

Objectives of this project.
- To contribute in the promotion of Mauritius as a holiday destination
abroad by using the CDrom as a medium of advertising communication.
- To orientate visitors towards interesting places of Mauritius.
- To encourage Eco-tourism

Conception of "On the road of Mauritius"
The creation of this CD which took our team months to complete,
had necessitate xxx amount of Dollars of fuel burning to
drive through Mauritius island to take thousands of pictures from
which we choose the best to build the program. Fortunately we live
in Mauritius! Also lots of odd hours in front of computers for researches
to make all the text documentation possible. The final result is
what you see in the images below.

Screenshots
The first screen is what will be launch automatically when EDImage
CD is inserted in the drive of the operating system. From there,
user can choose from an array of languages, view the About file
and Credits files and listen sample of the Mauritian traditional
music before entering the main interface where the virtual visit
of Mauritius Island starts through thousands of pictures, videos,
text documentation and geographical locations
